Peter Thomas

Peter Thomas joined PFG Precious Metals in 2007 as Director of Business Development. In just a few short years, Peter helped not only create this division of PFGBEST, but helped PFG Precious Metals evolve into one of the world’s largest sellers of precious metals coins. He was instrumental in bringing the proprietary trading system Typhoon Metals to market, and helped create an exclusive relationship between PFG, Nickolodeon, and the New Zealand Mint to collaborate on production of the collectible, limited edition SpongeBob SquarePants Treasure Chest in 2011. His career spans successes in floor trading on the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange, the CME Group, and off-floor trading of precious metals, plus creation of his own IB in 1998. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University and has traveled extensively to gain an unmitigated world view and enriched understanding of the flow of goods and services, markets, and the people and businesses that use them.
